Integrante de boyband noventera «LFO» muere a los 41 años

Luego de batallar más de un año contra el cáncer, el cantante de LFO Devin Lima falleció este miércoles a la edad de 41 años. 

La información, fue confirmada por un familiar al portal TMZ.

El cantante había sido diagnosticado con un cáncer suprarrenal en etapa cuatro, en el año 2017. Posteriormente se le realizó un procedimiento donde le extirparon un tumor de la glándula suprarrenal.

An update on Devin. What’s up guys, Brad here. I just left the hospital. Devin is in a tremendous amount of pain, but like he said, it was expected. The doctors are working to manage his pain and to help him get some rest. They are also monitoring his kidney function and vitals closely. We should have the pathology report back next week. Please continue to pray for NO CANCER. Despite the struggles, Devin’s spirits are good. The desire to get back to music drives him. As soon as he is home he’ll be back in the studio writing and producing. As soon as his diaphragm is healed, he will start singing again. When the doctors give him the green light, we will start rehearsing again with the band. And when Devin is back to 100%, we will hit the road again. And then together with you, and Rich from above, we will rock every venue in each city as hard as we physically can. We look forward to sharing the next chapter of this LFO experience with you. Carrera Musical

La boyband LFO, integrada por Devin Lima, Brad Fischetti y Rich Cronin, se hizo popular a fines de los 90´s con su canción «Summer Girls». Cronin falleció el 2010 producto de una leucemia.

Su álbum debut, «LFO», vendió más de 2.5 millones de copias en todo el mundo y obtuvo dos éxitos Top 10 en el Billboard Hot 100, con «Summer Girls» y «Girl on TV». Su segundo y último álbum, «Life Is Good «, debutó en 2001.

El dúo integrado por Lima y Fischetti iba a comenzar un tour a principios de este año, pero suspendieron los planes cuando Devin fue hospitalizado a fines de 2017 después de que los médicos descubrieran un tumor «del tamaño de una pelota de fútbol» en su glándula suprarrenal.
